A busy weekend

Well we had a good night out a few weekends ago, we went out for a nice meal at a local Chinese which was a break from the nomal of staying in with the kids and watching junk TV. They even had shisha pipes for people to use outside. i even took a look into the cost of shisha pipes from shiva and they aren't that expensive, when i tohught they would be

We ended up going to a local bar afterwards and stopped there for a few drinks and ended up bumping into some friends which stopped us getting home when we wanted.

This weeks been pretty busy for me at work and i've had a few late nights, which i don't mind but it does stop me seeing the kids before they go to bed.

Whoops into the savings

I dipped into savings today and did bit of a shopping spree on some designer clothes for my self and i bought the misses a pandora charm for her newish bracelet which is looking a bit sparse. but then the charms do start at around £30 and they are pretty small. i think around 6/7 charms should be enough other wise it will just look cluttered.

I've also been looking into varying types of pond pumps that i can get on a budget. I'm looking at around £250 tops whether that's for a filter and pump or a all in one job I'm still not 100% sure yet, even the cheap Chinese stuff looks pretty good and comes with the stuff i need like UV. I'm going to spend the weekend doing some more research.

Since we are going out on Saturday night i don't think I'll be doing any research on Sunday morning,  I'll be wearing my new voi jeans out on Saturday night they look really comfy too which is good.

Gardens

Well I've got quite a large garden to the rear of the house. I've already got one project for the end of march when the weather should be getting a bit better, I'm going to dig a biggish pond. It's going to be dug about 4/5ft down in a rectangle shape and then a smaller rectangle in the middle as bit of a fail safe if the pump ever try s to drain the pond then at least the fish have some where to go. This is the hard bit as it needs to be at least 1 1/2ft deep and pretty big allowing for fish growth. So from the grass it will go down about 4ft to a ledge which will probably be around 1ft wide then it will drop down a further foot or foot and 1/2. I'm then going to build the wall up around 3/4ft from the level of the grass. I know its going to be pretty big but its going to be bricked lined so this will take some of the water volume away.. But I figured that if im only doing this once i might as well go big.

I'm also pricing up garden rooms to go next to the pond, my thought is that I can then sit in it ans watch the fish swimming around. It should be nice and relaxing and very cosy in winter as I'm looking at putting a little and I mean tiny log burner in the garden room to heat it. I've got good access to logs and it shouldn't take much to heat it. I've got a budget of around 17k which should see me with a decent sized garden room and a few pounds left for the pond. The major expense for the pond is going to be bricks, I've got two options breeze block which are dirt cheap but will eat into the pond volume and then bricks which are slightly more expensive but will save volume.

Lazy Weekend

I had a quite weekend this week. The Tv had some pretty interested stuff on. Dr Who on Saturday had The fat one out of gavin and stacy in. This was the second time that he's appeared in it, he seems to do a pretty good job as he is pretty comical yet still serious.

Sunday night brough a program on BBC4 about the 60 years of F1 and some good films. Earlier in the day my friend max gottschalk came round to some me the new camera lens that he'd bought for his 60d. Its a fancy yet expensive wide angled one. it takes some great pictures without making them look too wide. He'd bought it on eBay for around £200 which is almost if not more than 1/2 price.

Work work work

Well works been pretty much the same old this week and i'm already feeling it draggin even though its friday tommorrow, i'm really tempted to go and book a holiday to somewhere in spain. a few friends went a couple of weeks back and they came round the other night telling me all about and showing me pictures. They brought me some cannabis seeds back, aparently you can just buy them on the street there. They said a few shops had them out the front on those rotating racks.

The weekend was pretty good and town was really busy in fact the busyiest i've seen it in a long time. it was a pretty late night we ended up in walkabout for ages and then headed in to revolution to see the night out. i must of spent around £150 which is pretty mad but i had a good night overall so i'm not to fussed.
